Frontline Worker Initiative

Adding A shine through Crochet

In March 2020, after the pandemic started for couple weeks, with help from our friends, Shirley Guan from @surely.its.shirley_ , we created a campaign called LOVE TO OUR FRONTLINE'S FAMILY.

This campaign is to emotionally support nurses and doctors' children by sending them a package that includes a crochet doll that portrays their mom or dad, a crochet Corona virus, and a special note addressing each kid to tell them that their parents are real heroes. As the campaign ended in late October 20202, we were so proud that the campaign was very successful. More than 300 dolls were sent all children across Canada, from British Columbia, to Yukon, Newfoundland and PEI. We were featured on FreshDaily.ca and specially, CTV Canada (link: https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/.../toronto-woman-creates...).

We would like to thank all the financial support from our friends, our families, and many other individuals and businesses, as well as all of you, Nurses and Doctor heroes.
We cannot make it without you.

Sincerely,
Tracy and CroChic Team
